Selection of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin beneficiary

1. This scheme, the beneficiaries will be selected / determined on the basis of the parameters reflecting the housing deficit in the Socio-Economic Caste Census(SECC) 2011 data, after which validation will be done by the palli sabha.
2. Under the pradhan mantri awas yojana gramin List 2020, those beneficiaries will be selected in place of BPL list according to SECC 2011 data for homeless families or those living in houses with one or 2 rough walls and mud ceilings.
3. Priority will be given to the first of the eligible beneficiaries on the basis of homeless families of each category like SC, ST, minority and others and one or 2 raw rooms.
4. Under this scheme, houses of more than 1 or 2 rooms of Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Caste, Minority and each such category of families will not be given priority.

Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana Benefits

Under this scheme, the central government is providing financial assistance to the weaker sections of the rural areas to build their own Building house and the government is also helping financially to make the old house permanent. Under the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana, the central government is providing financial assistance of Rs 120, 000 for construction of houses in plain areas and Rs 130, 000 for construction of houses in hilly areas to the economically weaker families in rural areas.

Cost of Gramin Awas Yojana scheme

The total cost for construction of 1 crore houses under this scheme is 1, 30, 075 crores. This cost will be borne on the basis of 60:40 of the Central Government and the State Government. The central share in the total cost under this Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana scheme will be Rs. 81,975 crore, out of which Rs. 60000 crore is met with budgetary support. And the remaining Rs 21,975 crore will be met by taking loan from National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development. Which will be rectified after 2022 with budgetary grant.

Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana

Under this scheme, the government will provide 1 crore pakka  houses to the desired beneficiaries by 2022. Under this scheme, the beneficiaries will be selected on the basis of 2011 census.
