Janani Suraksha Yojana : Janani Suraksha Yojana 2020

Janani Suraksha Yojana has been launched by Shri Narendra Modi Goverment of India to improve the condition of pregnant women and newborns baby.  The India Government will provide financial assistance to pregnant women in rural areas of the country and pregnant women in urban areas. Under Janani Suraksha Yojana 2020, all investigations of the pregnant women and delivery of the child are free.

• Under the Janani Suraksha Yojana (JSY), the government provides financial assistance of Rs.6000 to every pregnant woman to encourage delivery in government hospitals.
• Under the Janani Suraksha Yojana, pregnant women in rural areas are given Rs 1,400 and women in urban areas are given a thousand rupees, while under the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, they get another five thousand rupees.

Janani Suraksha Yojana cash incentive

1. Under this JSY Scheme 2020, pregnant women living below the poverty line of rural areas will be given a cash amount of Rs. 1400 by the government during childbirth and Rs. 300 for delivery incentives to Asha . 300 will also be given for providing pre-natal service.
2. Pregnant women in urban areas - Under this scheme, pregnant women in urban areas will be provided with a cash amount of Rs. 1000 by the government and Rs. 200 for delivery incentives and 200 for delivery of prenatal service to ASHA associates. Rupees will be given.

Features of Janani Suraksha Yojana 2020

1. Every beneficiary registered under the scheme must have  a Janani Suraksha Yojana card.
2. JSY 2020 is a 100% centrally sponsored scheme and it integrates cash assistance.
3.  The scheme has identified ASHA as a recognized social health worker.
4. Those pregnant women give birth to a child at home with the help of the doctors of Anganwadi or Asha. These candidates will get an amount of Rs 500.
5. After free delivery of the child, information is sent to them about the vaccination of the mother and child for five years and free immunization is done.
6. All women registering under Janani Suraksha Yojana 2020 will be given at least two pre-natal checks, absolutely free. In addition, ASHA and Anganwadi workers will also be assisted in the post-delivery period with related services.

Janani Suraksha Yojana 2020 Eligibility

1. JSY scheme, pregnant women from rural and urban areas of the country can get registered.
2. Under this scheme, the government will provide financial assistance to pregnant women only when they are 19 years of age or older. 
3. Unnder Janani Yojana will have to go only to government hospitals or any private institute that is selected by the government only enrolled.
4.  For giving birth to only two children, all medical and financial facilities will be provided to pregnant women on behalf of the government under this Janani Suraksha Yojana 2020.
5.  If a pregnant woman gives birth to a dead child, then giving birth to live babies before or in between will be considered as valid cases. Under the program, women will be given money as promised.
6. Under this scheme, BPL family women of the country will be provided benefits.
